At Ohana Yurts, we are dedicated to offering unique and sustainable housing solutions tailored to your needs while protecting our environment. Based on Oahu, our family-owned business specializes in crafting high-quality, eco-friendly yurts designed specifically for tropical climates. Our commitment to comfort and versatility is grounded in our personal experiences and continuous improvements to our products and services.

Our Story

Ohana Yurts was founded by Jenny and Nathan Toler, a couple who have called Hawaii home for over 20 years. The concept began in 2009 when they sought an eco-friendly, affordable, and easy-to-build therapy space for their holistic center. Faced with a lack of local yurt manufacturers in Hawaii, they established Backyard Yurts to fill this gap, focusing on mid-size yurts for small businesses.

As demand grew, Jenny and Nathan embraced yurt living themselves and fell in love with the serene, nature-integrated lifestyle it offered. This led to the expansion of their offerings to larger family yurts and a rebranding to Ohana Yurts, proudly serving the entire Hawaiian community. Our company has since become a leading yurt manufacturer in Hawaii and a recognized name in the industry, featured on HGTV’s “Tiny House Big Living” and “Love Yurts” on the DIY Network.
